Brand and merchandise creation for a boxing gym.
The inspiration and passion for our boxing gym came from my Uncle Roger Adolph, the “Red Indian Cockney.” He was a professional boxer with an exceptional career. Uncle was passionate about sports and activity and says it helped him become a great leader. He says it is fundamental for our youth to participate in sports because it helps them grow individually, learn how to lead, and be a part of a community.
This gym would bring his passions to fruition by making boxing available to the youth of Lillooet.
A picture of Uncle Roger boxing inspired the logo, and a childhood show, Dragon Ball Z, inspired the name.
“Ultra Instinct” - An ultimate technique that separates the consciousness from the body, allowing it to move and fight independently from the fighter's thoughts and emotions.
For the boxing shorts, I chose the gym's colours (orange and blue), and I designed them to imitate Dragon Ball Z's main character's clothes.
For the gym's merchandise, I kept the clothing basic and minimal to save on costs for the gym since it would be a brand-new business.
