This is a Multi-Platform Layout Menu Project that will be presented on paper and digitally.
Fraser is a high-end restaurant that serves the finest wines & food from our beautiful British Columbia. The Fraser River inspires the name Fraser, it flows through so many of the towns and cities we know, and those places inspired the dishes and drinks on the menu.
The logo and the patterns used in this project were inspired by the flow of water and its beauty of unpredictability. I wanted to take a more elegant approach with the colour; instead of choosing the typical blue for water, the teal seemed more appropriate for a high-end restaurant. And I also kept it monochromatic for a cleaner and more sophisticated look.
The Wordmark is not a logo format but handwritten by myself to get the right image for "Fraser." I wanted to be able to create the droplets within the name to show different aspects of water and also make the name eye-catching to the audiences
When creating the hand-held menus, I took the trifold menu for the Food to give more space for the content needing to be placed in there, and then I chose a bifold menu for the drinks because there was no need for the extra space.
When choosing the layout for the iPad continuous scroll menu, it was best to go with a darker teal as the background compared to the typical white background that is usually rough on viewers' eyes.
