Brand creation, product packaging, and advertisements for a small tea company.
This project came from creating a natural tea with plants from my First Nations Territory. Since I was young, I have been taught by my family about various plants and their uses for medicine and food. And many natural tea companies will compete with this one, but I felt the edge it would have is all of it is handpicked from a specific Territory in British Columbia.
For the branding concept, I wanted to present a locally owned impression and show the hand-picking motion of each plant. I tried various colours and kept them to two, but they did not suit the logo, so I picked three primary colours.
The tea kit was created to give to individuals who do not have the tea equipment at home and want their own to get started!
For packaging purposes, I decided to go for a tin and paper cylinder and provided three packaging variations in total. This provided more stable and secure packaging compared to paper bags.
For Accessories, I created a tea kit (consisting of a teapot, a cup, and two small tea samples), a lanyard, and a keychain. Going for the typical mug was not suited for this project, and I felt using the lanyard and keychain would give customers a chance to represent the brand.
When creating advertisements, I wanted to incorporate photos from the valley where the plants will be handpicked and show that the tea is actually from that valley!
